Interesting conversation taking place today over at the Beacon Topix web site. Late last evening Beacon’s Fire Chief, Tim Joseph responded to a statement on Mayoral Candidate Steve Gold’s election web site regarding the City of Beacon’s Fire Department. Steve Gold responded, via a third-party, to Chief Joseph’s statement a little later on during the day. Each of the posts should be read in order for you to get the proper context. So, read Steve Gold’s statement first, then the Chief’s initial response, then Steve’s follow-up to the Chief’s response. Then, of course, ask questions of all involved and form your own opinions.

Senior at Point Park University (Pittsburgh, PA), Anthony Pignetti, made both the Dean’s List for the spring of 08 and the President’s List for the summer of 08. He had a 3.82 in the spring and a perfect 4.0 in the summer. He currently has a GPA over 3.8 for his college career. Mr. Pignetti is a 2004 graduate of Marlboro H.S, in Marlboro, NY, and a graduate of Dutchess Community College, in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is majoring in broadcasting and is focusing on sports.
Anthony was also an intern at 1570-WVTL AM in Amsterdam, NY, covering sports, for the summer of 08 and was a a marketing intern for the Pittsburgh Xplosion professional basketball team, of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), last summer.
He is the son of former Beacon, NY residents, John and Sherri Pignetti.
